Present Status:
I am a retired public school educator (middle school principal and middle school teacher).   My wife has recently been transferred from Lexington, KY to Indianapolis and now is the time to start a new chapter in my life.

Currently, I run my own Web Design Business but with the move I would like to pursue a new career in which I can interact with a greater variety of people in a creative setting.

Responsibilities as Building Principal:

Ø  Daily operations of school with 600 to 950 students and 45 to 70 staff members.

Ø  We organized the school under the team concept with most decisions shared by using the Deming Model for team management.  Have had training in group dynamics.

Ø  Served on numerous district committees – Curriculum, Sports, community relations, Parent Teacher Organization, Safety, Building and maintenance (Four major building/remodeling projects)

Ø  Evaluation of staff – Received advanced training in evaluation methods.  Was asked to train other administrators in proper techniques and legal processes.

Ø  Have worked with many of the state/local social organizations – police, social workers, prosecutors, welfare, drug  rehabilitation  services,  drug enforcement agency, mental health services, clergy, etc.

   
Testing & Technology Coordinator:
                One day my superintendent came to me and asked me what I knew about computers.    I told him I had played around with them and knew a little basic programming.   He said “good, I am putting you in charge of bringing computers into our district.   I also need you to be in charge of getting all of our test results into the computers.    From that discussion I became the technology “person” and was able to go many types of training.  In fairness to a selection committee much of my technology hardware knowledge is rusty, but I with my background I understand basics.
